The Fideuà Rossejada, Ron Cremat & Sea Shanties Experience

Sunset, Sea Shanties & the Maritime Flavours of Cambrils. As the sun sets over the Port of Cambrils, IFOODTC delegates will experience one of the most atmospheric expressions of the town’s maritime food culture. Gathering beside the harbour, delegates will taste fideuà rossejada, a traditional dish connected to Cambrils’ fishing heritage, followed by ron cremat — the aromatic, flame-prepared rum drink traditionally associated with Catalan fishermen. As the sun disappears overthe Mediterranean, traditional sea shanties and maritime songs will accompany the experience, evoking the camaraderie, stories and traditions of the fishing community. More than a tasting, this is an opportunity for food-tourism professionals to experience how local dishes, traditional drinks, music, setting and storytelling can come together to create an authentic sense of place.
